We have had more snow this week than we've had all winter. Merritt built this amazing snow fort with the boys last Sunday. He even attached our slide to it (from our play structure). The boys enjoyed sliding down, then they all went inside the fort and drank hot chocolate. Later in the week dad fixed up a picnic which they ate inside the fort. The boys were so happy and loved their dad for it. Merritt is a really good dad. Happy birthday tomorrow, Merritt!

Three cheers for Dad, snow and cocoa! That's an amazing Next Generation fort! Beats out anything we made while he was growing up. So happy to see those snow smiles!
Dads are great and for such different things than moms. And Merritt is so great and I am so glad he got you that bouquet for valentines day and btw in the last post it was great to read how much little Owen eseems his Dad's talents: "Dad fixed it, Dad fixed it!" Merritt was mentored well in the aspect of a Dad that played with us, and I will always remember our childhood snow days with Dad.
